At All for One, we’re more than a physio clinic. We’re a community dedicated to supporting women through every stage of life—especially the transitional moments of pregnancy, birth and motherhood. Our care is:
Evidence-based – guided by the latest clinical research and best practice
Warm and judgement-free – your story is safe with us
Holistic and personalised – we look at the full picture, not just the symptoms
Collaborative – working with GPs, lactation consultants, doulas and other trusted health professionals
We understand that mastitis isn’t just a physical condition—it’s emotional, exhausting, and often isolating. That’s why we treat the person, not just the breast.
Mastitis is an inflammatory breast condition that can develop during breastfeeding. It often starts with congestion and inflammation, and may become bacterial if left untreated. Common symptoms include:
Breast pain, redness, or swelling
A firm or hot lump in the breast
Fever, body aches or flu-like symptoms
Pain during or after feeding
Feeling tired or emotionally depleted
Recent research has redefined our understanding of mastitis—not just as a blocked duct, but as a spectrum of inflammation. Early, gentle treatment is key to avoiding complications and getting you back to feeling like yourself.
Our women’s health physiotherapists are specially trained in mastitis management. When you book in, here’s what you can expect:
Therapeutic ultrasound to reduce inflammation and encourage fluid drainage
Lymphatic massage (gentle, not deep tissue) to support healing
A full assessment of your symptoms and feeding pattern
Advice on self-care, feeding positions and recovery
Referrals to a trusted local lactation consultant or GP if needed
We’re located conveniently in Hampton East, supporting families from Moorabbin, Bentleigh, Highett, Cheltenham and surrounding suburbs.
Women’s health physio is a specialised area of physiotherapy focused on the pelvic floor, abdominal wall, hormonal transitions and breastfeeding-related care. At All for One, our women’s health physios support clients through:
Pregnancy and postpartum recovery
Mastitis, blocked ducts and breastfeeding concerns
Pelvic pain, prolapse and incontinence
Menstrual concerns, endometriosis and menopause transitions
Return-to-exercise plans after baby or surgery
Our approach is both clinical and empowering. We want every woman to feel informed, confident and supported in her body—at every stage.
While you wait for your appointment, here are some immediate steps that may help:
✅ Apply cold packs or frozen nappies to the affected area
✅ Rest, hydrate and prioritise feeding from the affected breast
✅ Use gentle massage (towards the armpit, not the nipple)
✅ Wear a soft, supportive bra—avoid anything restrictive
❌ Avoid heat, vigorous massage, or pumping excessively
❌ Don’t use Epsom salts or vibrating massagers unless advised
If you’re experiencing symptoms of mastitis, the best thing you can do is seek support early. At All for One, we’re ready to help you feel better—quickly and safely, with the care you deserve.
