Matthew Harden Yoga Teacher
Kate Foster Spin Instructor
Matthew has been practicing yoga for more than half his life, ever since he chose it for school sport in Year 10!
Since then, his love for the discipline has only grown; it’s something that culminates many of his core values and passions, including mental/physical health, creativity and kinship with the self and others.
After years of developing his practice, he was fortunate to formalise his passion by completing a 350-hour teacher-training with the renowned Australian Yoga Academy. This rich, educational experience formed the foundation from which he has since branched out into the teaching world.
His teaching style blends both yang and yin energy, with a focus on building strong foundations, so his students can enjoy the sensation of ease that comes from a solid base in one’s practice.
He is competent in teaching all skill levels, from complete beginners to lifelong yogis.
It’s his hope that sharing yoga with others can bring about positive change on both an individual and community level.
Kate has been working as an instructor in the fitness industry for the past 8 years and is passionate about bringing joy and accessibility to a variety of different fitness modalities. After studying a bachelor of Musical Theatre at the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts; with many years of dance and movement experience under her belt it felt like a natural progression to complete her Advanced Diploma of Yoga teaching.
It wasn’t until 2016 while filming at the launch event for a new business that Kate discovered ‘Rhythm Ride’. Like a party on a bike, the high intensity of spinning set to invigorating music with the coordination of upper body choreography had her addicted!
Along with her relatively new exploration of strength training; which has been motivated by her own personal experience with managing a long term knee injury. Kate believes that fitness doesn’t need to be boring or monotonous and she aims to help everyone who comes to her classes to find joy in movement and the act of taking care of their minds and bodies.
