You’ve done the reading; you know what this season asks of your bones, your muscle, your heart. This is where the knowing becomes lifting: strength training designed and led by physiotherapists working from the women’s health research, for women in perimenopause, menopause and beyond. Properly heavy, properly coached, and adjusted to the body you bring in each week, in a room full of women who get it because they’re in it too.

New members. 14 days. Every studio class included, this one among them. Yarraville and Hampton East. A class for women; no experience needed.

01

A midlife strength class in progress at All for One

A class built for this season

Every session pairs heavy resistance training, because this is the decade when bone density and muscle respond to nothing less, with short aerobic intervals for your heart and the way your body handles hormonal change. It was designed by physiotherapists working from current women’s health research, and it’s led by them too, so your technique is watched closely and your program shifts as your body does.

The strength you’re building here is deliberately practical: the shopping brought in one trip, the floor got up from without a hand, the grandkids lifted without bracing, the decades ahead lived in your own house on your own terms. Training for the moments that matter is the whole program.

02

First-class nerves, answered

“Is it too late to start?”

No, and the research is emphatic about it: muscle and bone respond to strength training at every age, and the results matter most in exactly the decades people assume they’ve missed the boat. Starting now is not catching up. It’s arriving right on time, and your future self collects the interest.

“What about the days I’m running on empty?”

Then you tell us, and the session bends. Midlife bodies have days: short nights, flat mornings, a hot flush with terrible timing. Your coach adjusts your weights and your pace to the body you actually brought in, without a fuss and without you falling behind. Showing up on the flat days counts double here, and the room knows it.

“I’ve never lifted a weight in my life.”

Then you’ll be taught, properly, from the beginning: how to hinge, squat, press and carry, with weights that start where you are and progress when you’re ready. Nothing is assumed and nobody is rushed. And if you’d rather build your confidence one-on-one first, start with a physio appointment or a few private sessions with a personal trainer, and walk into the class already knowing your way around the weights. Plenty of the women lifting confidently in this room started exactly where you’re standing.

03

Why women stay

Some of it is how you’re trained: a physiotherapist watching your form, adjusting your program as your body changes, and noticing your progress out loud.

Some of it is the building. Our women’s health physiotherapists work down the hall, and menopause is part of their day’s work, so a question raised between sets can become a proper appointment without retelling your story. There’s remedial massage for the big weeks and an infrared sauna for the slow ones.

And some of it is the room itself: women in the same season, comparing notes on the things nobody prints, laughing at the right moments, and reminding each other that strong is still very much on the table. Plenty of our members say that part holds them as much as the lifting does.

Our members have given us a 4.9-star rating across 180+ Google reviews.

Strong now is independence later.

04

The Intro Pass, and why it isn’t just this class

Five classes in 14 days for $60, across everything on the studio timetable, Midlife Strength included, plus two infrared sauna sessions, because recovery is part of training. It’s deliberately more than a trial of one class: most people land on the thing they came for plus something they didn’t expect.

New members only. Studio classes; physio-led classes like Clinical and Prenatal Pilates run separately.

Midlife Strength Training

"Midlife strength training isn’t just about the now. It’s about giving your future self the life she deserves."

Why This Class Works

Build Strong Bones and Muscles

Midlife is the time when bone density and lean muscle naturally decline. That can lead to reduced strength, slower metabolism and higher risk of osteoporosis.
Our heavy resistance training helps you rebuild what your body is losing. You will train in a way that feels achievable, safe and progressive so you can stay strong in the moments that matter. Carrying shopping bags. Getting up from the floor. Lifting grandkids. Living independently for longer.

Support Your Hormones and Heart

Short aerobic intervals are woven into each session to improve cardiovascular fitness and support the way your body adapts to hormonal changes. This is exercise that boosts energy instead of draining it. Many women notice clearer thinking, more stable moods and a sense of vitality returning.

Create Healthy Habits That Last

We are here for your long-term wellbeing, not quick fixes. Every session includes guidance from experts who understand midlife physiology. You will learn how to move well, how to build consistency, and how to trust your body again. This is about sustainable strength, not hitting a target for the sake of it.

You Are Part of a Community Here

Midlife can feel isolating. Your symptoms change. Your needs shift. Your confidence in your body can wobble. At All for One you never walk in alone.
You are welcomed into a community of women who understand. Every class feels supportive and encouraging. There is no judgement. No pressure. Just women showing up, sharing a laugh, lifting heavy things, and reminding each other that feeling strong is still possible.

Many of our members say that the emotional support is just as powerful as the physical gains.

At All for One we treat you as a whole person. We listen to your story, your lifestyle, your stress levels and your goals. We combine evidence-based strength training with physiotherapy expertise so you feel safe, understood and cared for.
