Common questions

Quick answers.

Where do I park?

There is parking at KCARC, with street parking on Altona Street and the roads around it.

Which suburbs is the clinic close to?

We’re on Level 1 at KCARC on Altona Street, a short walk from Kensington station, and an easy trip from Flemington, North Melbourne, Ascot Vale, Moonee Ponds, Parkville and West Melbourne.

Do I need a referral for physiotherapy?

No referral needed. HICAPS is on the spot for private health extras, and Medicare Care Plans, TAC and WorkCover are all welcome.

What happens in a first appointment?

Your physio listens first, examines properly, tells you what is going on in plain language and writes you a plan. Hands-on treatment starts in that first session, so something is already moving by the time you leave.

Do you run Clinical Pilates at Kensington?

Yes. Clinical Pilates here is programmed by a physiotherapist and run in small groups, so it follows on from your assessment rather than sitting beside it.
