## **What is Women’s Health Physiotherapy?**

Women’s health physiotherapy focuses on physical health issues unique to women across all life stages. This includes everything from menstruation to menopause, pregnancy to postnatal recovery, and beyond.

Our highly trained team provides compassionate care for:

Pelvic floor dysfunction.
 Pregnancy-related pain.
 Postnatal recovery.
 Urinary or bowel incontinence.
 Pelvic organ prolapse.
 Pain during intercourse.
 Abdominal separation (diastasis recti)

We support you through every chapter. Whether you’re a first-time mum, a seasoned parent, or simply seeking expert care from a trusted women’s health physio, we’re here for you.

**Pregnancy physio: Feel supported, from bump to birth**

During pregnancy, your body goes through major physical changes, which can sometimes lead to discomfort or pain. Our Women’s Health Physiotherapists are here to support you through every trimester, helping you stay comfortable, strong and informed.

We treat a wide range of prenatal concerns including:

Pelvic girdle pain

Lower back and hip pain

Abdominal muscle separation (diastasis recti)

Sciatic pain

Rib and thoracic spine pain

Postural discomforts related to body changes

Sacroiliac joint (SIJ) dysfunction

All treatment plans are personalised to your stage of pregnancy, your symptoms and your goals. We focus on relieving discomfort, supporting functional movement and preparing your body for labour and recovery.

We also provide pelvic floor assessments, labour preparation education (including EPI-NO), and compression garment fittings to help you feel more supported.

Looking for a pregnancy physio? You’re in the right place. Our women’s physio Yarraville & Hampton East studio offers holistic care in a supportive, non-judgemental environment.

**Postnatal physio: Reconnect with your body after birth**

The postnatal period brings a wide range of physical and emotional changes. Whether you’re six weeks or six months postpartum, our Women’s Health Physiotherapists are here to support your recovery with care that is evidence-based, personalised, and compassionate.

We support with:

Pelvic floor recovery and dysfunction (incontinence, prolapse, feelings of heaviness)

Abdominal separation (diastasis recti) rehabilitation

Mastitis and blocked ducts, including therapeutic ultrasound

Return-to-exercise planning tailored to your body and your goals

Breastfeeding posture and lifting technique to prevent neck, shoulder and upper back pain

Hip, lower back, and sacroiliac joint (SIJ) pain that can linger after birth

Caesarean or perineal scar care

Our focus is to help you recover well, feel strong in your body, and support your return to the movement and activities you love—at your own pace, with expert guidance.

Wherever you are in your journey, we’re here to listen, guide and support you.

**Common pelvic health concerns we treat**

Many women quietly endure symptoms that can be managed or improved with expert care. We treat:

Incontinence with coughing, sneezing or jumping.
 Urgency or bladder emptying issues.
 Constipation, bowel straining, or prolapse.
 Painful sex (vaginismus, vulvodynia).
Lower back, tailbone or pelvic pain.

Our team takes a gentle, respectful and empowering approach. Because all women’s health matters.

**Perimenopause and menopause: Feel supported through the transition**

Menopause is more than just a milestone, it’s a whole-body transition. Hormonal changes can impact everything from muscle tone to joint mobility, bladder control to bone health. And while these shifts are common, they’re not something you have to just “deal with.”

At All For One, our women’s health physiotherapists provide expert, compassionate support during perimenopause and menopause, helping you feel more at home in your body again.

We can help you manage:

Pelvic floor dysfunction

Bladder or bowel changes

Loss of strength or coordination

Joint pain and stiffness

Safe strength training for bone density

**More Than Just Women’s Health**

While our Women’s Health Physiotherapists are experts in pelvic health and pregnancy-related care, they are also highly experienced in managing a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. From back and neck pain to joint issues, postural imbalances, and sports injuries, our team is equipped to support your overall physical wellbeing.

All of our Women’s Health Physios have a strong background in general musculoskeletal physiotherapy and bring this knowledge into every session. Whether you’re managing pregnancy-related concerns or everyday aches and pains, you’re in expert hands.

Whether you’re experiencing early symptoms or well into menopause, our team will meet you where you’re at, with hands-on therapy, movement strategies, and education designed to empower you through change.

There are some things you don’t bring up at brunch. Leaking when you laugh. A heaviness that doesn’t feel right. Pain during intimacy you’ve never told anyone about. Pelvic pain you’ve been told is “just part of having a baby.” These are the things Emily helps with every single day — and nothing you say will surprise her.

Emily specialises in Women’s Health and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy. She’s completed postgraduate studies in the field and trained alongside some of Australia’s leading pelvic health experts. Before women’s health, she cut her teeth in elite sport — working in the medical department at Carlton Football Club (AFL) — and she brings that same clinical precision to every appointment.

A lot of women wait months — sometimes years — before seeing someone about pelvic health, because they’re embarrassed, or because they’ve been told it’s normal. It’s not something you have to just live with. And in Emily’s room, nothing is awkward. You can ask the questions you’ve been sitting on, and they’ll be taken seriously.

In your first appointment, Emily will listen properly, explain what’s going on in plain English, and work with you on a plan that makes sense for your body and your stage of life. Whether that’s preparing for birth, recovering from a C-section, rebuilding your pelvic floor, returning to running, or treating pain that’s been holding you back — the focus is always on getting you to where you want to be.

Emily commonly helps with: pelvic floor dysfunction (incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain), prenatal and postnatal care, birth preparation, C-section recovery and abdominal rehabilitation, return-to-exercise assessments, pain during intimacy, general neck and back pain, and Clinical Pilates.

If you’ve been putting up with something because you weren’t sure it was “bad enough” to see someone about — it is. The earlier you address it, the simpler it usually is to treat.

## Debbi Lim

I’ve worked in postnatal wards at St John of God and The Alfred. I’ve trained alongside some of Australia’s leading pelvic health physiotherapists. And I’ve supported hundreds of women through the most vulnerable, confusing, and physically demanding stages of their lives. Whatever you’re going through — I’ve very likely seen it before, and I take all of it seriously.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Curtin University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne. My focus is helping women with pelvic health conditions, pregnancy and postnatal care, and the kind of symptoms that are common but rarely talked about — leaking, heaviness, pelvic pain, pain during intimacy, or a core that doesn’t feel like it’s come back together after birth.

I know these things can feel awkward to bring up. A lot of the women I see waited a long time before booking — because they were embarrassed, or because someone told them it was “normal.” It’s not something you just have to live with. And you won’t feel awkward about it with me.

In your first appointment, I’ll take the time to understand everything — your symptoms, your history, and what you actually want to get back to. I’ll explain what’s going on clearly, answer every question, and we’ll build a plan together. No jargon, no rushing, no generic handouts.

I commonly help with: pregnancy and postnatal care (pelvic girdle pain, abdominal separation, return to exercise, pelvic floor preparation and recovery), pelvic floor dysfunction (incontinence, prolapse, urgency, pelvic pain, pain during intimacy), core and abdominal rehabilitation, pessary fittings for prolapse management, general musculoskeletal pain (back, neck, joints), and Clinical Pilates.

If you’ve been putting up with something and you’re not sure if it warrants seeing someone — it does. These things almost always respond better the earlier you get onto them.

Something’s not right and it’s not getting better on its own. Maybe it’s a neck that’s been stiff for weeks. A lower back that flares up every time you think it’s settled. A shoulder that’s stopping you from training. A knee that’s taken away the things you used to do without thinking. Whatever it is, Tori can help you get to the bottom of it and get you moving properly again.

With over ten years of hands-on experience across private practice in Australia and the UK, Tori has helped thousands of people with the full range of musculoskeletal conditions — from acute sporting injuries and post-surgical rehab to persistent, complex pain that hasn’t responded to other treatment. She holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours from Monash University and has completed advanced training in Clinical Pilates.

Tori also has a specialist interest in Women’s Health Physiotherapy — supporting women through pregnancy, post-natal recovery, pelvic health conditions, and the strength and hormonal changes that come with perimenopause and menopause. If you’ve been told to “just rest,” had your pain dismissed, or you’re not sure whether what you’re experiencing is normal — Tori has seen it before, she takes it seriously, and she’ll help you work out a clear path forward.

In your first appointment, Tori will take the time to understand what’s actually going on — not just where it hurts, but why. She’ll explain what she finds in plain English, answer every question you’ve got, and build a plan with you that fits your life — not a generic exercise sheet you’ll never look at again. Whether it’s getting back to sport, picking up your kids without wincing, sleeping through the night, or just moving through the day without dreading the stairs — the focus is always on what matters to you.

Tori commonly helps with: neck and back pain, shoulder injuries, knee and hip pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, headaches and jaw pain, pregnancy-related pain, pelvic floor conditions, and perimenopause and menopause support.

If you’ve been putting up with it and hoping it’ll sort itself out — most of these things respond better the earlier you get onto them. It’s worth getting it looked at.

## Phoebe Cunningham

## Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist | Women's Health Physiotherapist | Clinical Pilates Instructor

[Book an appointment with Phoebe →](https://momence.com/appointments/appointment-reservation/37352?boardId=14183)

Most physios focus on either general musculoskeletal pain or women’s health. Phoebe does both — which means she can treat your sore back and your pelvic floor in the same appointment, and see how one might be connected to the other. It’s a fuller picture, and it often makes a real difference to how quickly things improve.

On the musculoskeletal side, Phoebe treats neck and back pain, shoulder and knee injuries, headaches, and persistent muscle tension. She’s trained in dry needling for stubborn trigger points and pain that isn’t responding to other approaches. On the women’s health side, she works with pelvic floor conditions (incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain, constipation), pregnancy and post-natal care, and integrates Clinical Pilates into rehab for strength and recovery.

Phoebe is especially passionate about pelvic floor education — helping people understand and connect with a part of their body that’s rarely talked about but affects everything from continence to core strength to confidence. If you’re not sure whether your symptoms are “normal” or worth seeing someone about — Phoebe’s the person to ask.

In your first appointment, she’ll take the time to understand what’s going on — listen properly, explain things clearly, and build a plan with you that’s specific to your body and your goals. Whether that’s getting through pregnancy more comfortably, sorting out a pelvic floor issue, or just getting rid of the back pain that’s been ruining your mornings — the focus is always on what matters to you.

Phoebe commonly helps with: neck and back pain, shoulder and knee injuries, pelvic floor dysfunction (incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain), pre- and post-natal physiotherapy, dry needling, and Clinical Pilates.

If something’s been bothering you and you haven’t gotten around to doing anything about it — it’s usually easier to sort out than you think, especially when you catch it early.
